Kind Consumer needed detailed planning, forecasting and scenario modelling that would meet the information needs of venture capital investors.
SOLUTION
Profit& have built a production planning and e-commerce sales forecasting model connected to their 5-year financial plan (5YP) using the Anaplan platform. This is one of the best examples of Connected Planning. The 5YP includes a fully integrated profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow. Batch level production planning and supply chain planning consists of a bill of material; a 16 step supply chain processes, across 3 countries and 3 factories; and business-to-consumer e-commerce sales forecasting.
BENEFITS
The 5YP model has supported the raising of venture capital finance for expansion and has already been subjected to several rounds of due diligence examination. Legacy MS Excel planning models could not have withstood such a test. The new 5YP enables scenarios to be calculated in hours, enabling the forecasting of different funding levels to evaluate low and high-volume manufacturing lines. Rolling forecast, annual planning processes, and sales performance management are their next planned developments.
